The Game

Our Mosquito program at Annette Baseball offers young players an opportunity to learn and play baseball in a fun, safe and positive environment. First-year Mosquito players fresh out of Rookieball can look forward to playing baseball with real pitchers. And, players new to baseball can learn and develop in an atmosphere where equal playing time, skill and character development, as well as fun, competitive baseball are all emphasized. Annette Baseball has a fully equipped practice facility at Ravina Park that includes a batting cage. Practices are designed by coaches to allow players to develop their skills in the areas of fielding, pitching, base-running, and batting. And, the result on the field is fun, exciting Mosquito baseball games for the players and parents to enjoy.

Coaches & Volunteers

Annette Baseball runs on the strength of support from its families and volunteers. Since 1988 our small neighborhood has produced a program of House League baseball that is second to none, and that has recently produced two sets of Ontario Champions at the Select Level.

Having missed a season of baseball, we remain in need of coaching volunteers and parent assistance to keep this proud tradition going. Many thanks to those of you who have already reached out. In addition to coaches, we are in need of parents willing to pitch in with things like spraying shared equipment with disinfectant at the end of games, ensuring that players get on and off the field at their designated times, posting games scores on teamsnap and the Annette website, etc.. If you are able to help in any capacity – coaching or organizational please let us know directly at annettestreetbaseball@gmail.com.

Apart from a general knowledge of the rules of the game, no particular baseball knowledge or expertise is required to volunteer or be effective as a coach. The role mainly requires interest and a relatively modest time commitment.
