PeeWee - 13U
Playing Season - PeeWee 2022
Registration Fee: $215.00
Our PeeWee program is designed for players age 12 and 13 (born in 2009 & 2010).
Games and practices times will vary between two (2) different days in the week. Games and Practices will be both held at Ravina Park. Practices will be held on every other Tuesday evenings from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Games will be held on Saturdays from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Players are expected to arrive 20 minutes early to warm up and prepare for their games. The season will run from May until the mid September. Each player receives a uniform consisting of a fitted baseball cap, team jersey, pants, and a belt.
The Game
Our PeeWee program is a great way for players who have always wanted to play baseball to get into the game. First-timers will learn fundamentals like catching, throwing and hitting. Annette Baseball has a fully equipped practice facility at Ravina Gardens Park that includes a batting cage. For experienced players, the PeeWee program offers an opportunity to develop their baseball skills. Practices are designed to take fielding, pitching, batting, and base-running to the next level. Baseball strategy also comes into the game in PeeWee. Experienced players will also be challenged by the bigger diamond and big-league rules.
Coaches & Volunteers
Annette Baseball runs on the strength of support from its families and volunteers. Since 1988 our small neighborhood has produced a program of House League baseball that is second to none, and that has recently produced two sets of Ontario Champions at the Select Level.
Having missed a season of baseball, we remain in need of coaching volunteers and parent assistance to keep this proud tradition going. Many thanks to those of you who have already reached out. In addition to coaches, we are in need of parents willing to pitch in with things like spraying shared equipment with disinfectant at the end of games, ensuring that players get on and off the field at their designated times, posting games scores on teamsnap and the Annette website, etc.. If you are able to help in any capacity – coaching or organizational please let us know directly at annettestreetbaseball@gmail.com.
Apart from a general knowledge of the rules of the game, no particular baseball knowledge or expertise is required to volunteer or be effective as a coach. The role mainly requires interest and a relatively modest time commitment.
